Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Analytics Consultant to support strategic initiatives by performing complex data analysis, consulting on business and technical challenges, and delivering data-driven insights for operational improvements. This role involves working with cross-functional teams, mentoring junior staff, and leveraging data analytics tools to optimize processes and support risk and compliance requirements.
As a key member of the analytics team, you will develop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes, lead or contribute to large projects, and present findings to stakeholders, helping Wells Fargo drive business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct moderately complex data analysis to address business, operational, and technical challenges.
- Consult and collaborate with peers, managers, and external partners on project goals and solutions.
- Lead or participate in large-scale cross-functional projects involving data-driven insights.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analytics staff.
- Understand and comply with regulatory, risk management, and governance policies.
- Develop expertise in analytics and workflow tools like Power BI, Power Automate, Workday, ServiceNow, Oracle, MS SQL, and Snowflake.
- Build complex visualizations and dashboards responding dynamically to user inputs for actionable insights.
- Engage in ETL development and documentation.
- Demonstrate strong communication and consultative skills to present insights effectively.
Key Technical Skills:
SQL, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Oracle, MS SQL, Snowflake, ETL Tools, Data Visualization, Advanced Analytics, Python (preferred), Workflow Automation (Workday, ServiceNow), Statistical Analysis, Dashboard Development
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years analytics experience through work, training, or military service.
- Hands-on experience with large and complex datasets using SQL and modern BI tools.
- Strong skills in developing reusable dashboards and self-service analytics products.
- Prior experience in mentoring and project leadership preferred.
- Good understanding of HR domain and product lifecycle (Hire to Retire) is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving and consultative skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities.
